Runners’ Expo and Packet Pick-Up
Friday, March 2, 2012 - 3 p.m. until 9 p.m.
The Hilton Garden Inn,
located in Downtown Albany at 101 S. Front Street.
Runners must have a photo ID available to pick up their packet.
All runners' packets containing shirt, race number and
B-Tag Timing Tag, and other items MUST be picked up on Friday, March 2.
A Free Admission ticket to the Downtown Albany Music Festival will be included in race packets for each participating runner, walker or wheeler. The Festival is an all-day event that kicks off in downtown at noon and features kids' activities, vendors, crafters and bands until midnight.
Runner’s Expo
The Runners' Expo, offers booths and interactive centers for enjoyment for the marathon & half marathon participants and their families. Marathon participants are affluent, educated, active individuals. This is a goal-oriented group including a significant number of first time marathoners from Georgia and the surrounding states with an estimated demographic breakout of 59% female and 41% male and more than 40% boasting a household income nearly double the national average.

Recycle Your Running Shoes
After putting all those miles on your running shoes training for the marathon and half marathon, they still have some life left in them if you donate them at the Expo. A drop-off station will be set up at the Expo on Friday, March 2, and all donated running shoes and gently worn t-shirts will be donated to One World Running (www.oneworldrunning.com) for distribution around the world. One World Running is an international program which provides running shoes to those in need in the United States and around the world. When you make a contribution at the Expo, you’ll receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win some new running gear.
Race Timing:
The Marathon will use a Chrono Trak B-tag Timing Tag system. Timing Tags will be distributed at the Expo or with your runner packet.
Remember: NO TIMING TAG, NO FINISHING TIME!
